Curude-23 (CDE-23) is a special crude oil products fabricated and used in military hardware maintenance. This special Chemical Product is made up of carbon and sulphur isotope which is obtain as a by-product of crude oil. The oil as received was deasphalted and the maltene fraction was separated by MPLC into saturated, aromatic and polar fractions.
Isotope Crude (IST CRD).
The carbon isotopic composition of the C (sub 15+) saturate and aromatic hydrocarbon fractions and the gas chromatographs of the C (sub 15+) saturate fraction of 339 oils were geochemically and statistically evaluated. The average isotopic compositions of the C (sub 15+) aromatic hydrocarbon fractions of oils sourced from terrigenous or marine organic matter are identical. The average isotopic composition of the C (sub 15+) saturate fraction of oils derived from terrigenous organic sources is slightly more negative (0.9 per mil) than the average for marine oils, but this difference is insufficient to be used as a reliable source indicator. The isotopic differences between oils sourced from terrigenous and marine organic matter manifest themselves in the isotopic relationship between the saturate and aromatic hydrocarbon fractions.
4-Tert-Butyl Catechol (4-TBC).
4-tert-Butylcatechol (TBC) is an organic chemical compound which is a derivative of catechol. It is added as a stabilizer and an inhibitor of polymerization to butadiene, styrene, vinyl acetate and other reactive monomer streams. It is 25 times better than hydroquinone at 60 °C for polymerization inhibitory effect. Also used as a stabilizer in the manufacture of polyurethane foam. It also can be used as an antioxidant for synthetic rubber, polymers and oil derivatives. It can be used as purification agent for aminoformate catalysts. TBC is available in a form of a solid crystal and 85% solution in methanol or water.
Vanadium Pentoxide.
Vanadium pentoxide is used in different, industrial processes as catalyst: In the contact process it serves for the oxidation of SO2 to SO3 with oxygen at 440°C. Besides it is used in the oxidation of ethanol to ethanale and in the production of phthalic anydride, polyamide, oxalic acid and further products.
